Jessica Cranshaw, star of the new Broadway-bound musical Robbin Hood, has been murdered on stage on opening night! The entire cast and crew are suspects. Time to call in the local detective, Frank Cioffi, who just happens to be a huge musical theatre fan. With a nose for crime and an ear for music, Frank has his work cut out trying to find the killer whilst giving the show a lifeline. Starring Jason Manford (The Producers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Guys and Dolls) and Carley Stenson (Les Miserables, Legally Blonde, Shrek, Spamalot and Hollyoaks), this hilarious whodunnit is packed full of catchy songs, unforgettable characters and plot twists galore! From creators of Cabaret and Chicago, this Tony award-winning backstage murder mystery musical will have audiences laughing and guessing right to the final curtain.
14 jun 2019 - 4 jul 2021	BLITZED: LIVERPOOL LIVES - PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION	Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head, Liverpool, Liverpool City Region, L3 1DG	80 years on, Museum of Liverpool captures the devastation and resilience of local people during the Blitz in rare photographs. Displaying up to 60 photographs taken by Liverpool City Police from 1940 – 1941, a free new photography exhibition at the Museum of Liverpool reveals the devastation the Blitz brought to the lives and city of Liverpool. 1 oct 2019 - 1 feb 2020	ALEXIS TEPLIN	School Lane, School Lane, Liverpool, Merseyside, L13BX	A new body of work by U.S. born artist Alexis Teplin will premier at Bluecoat in October, in her first major UK exhibition. Teplin’s work crosses between painting, performance and film. The artist draws parallels between the process of these art forms. Fragments of abstraction within her paintings combine to suggest glimmers of figuration; whilst in her performance and film work, a similarly piecemeal assembly of quotes and gestures ranging from personal aphorisms to grand theatrical gestures, from the Labour manifesto to the films of Fellini.
11 oct 2019 - 5 jan 2020	SOUVENIR: 40 YEARS OF OMD	British Music Experience, Cunard Building, Liverpool, L3 1DS	October 11 sees the opening of a brand new exhibition at the British Music Experience; Souvenir: 40 Years of OMD. Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) continue their 40th anniversary celebrations with an exhibition marking the band’s impressive legacy at the British Music Experience. Items on display include the bands’ instruments, stage outfits, prints, posters and Andy McCluskey’s binders full of ideas, photos and press cuttings. To complement the exhibits, there will be a short film featuring live footage of the band on the main stage screen at regular intervals throughout the day. The exhibition runs until January 5 2020.
13 nov 2019 - 5 jan 2020	Liverpool Ice Festival	Pier Head, Liverpool	Liverpool Ice Festival returns to the city’s iconic Pier Head later this month with an enormous ice slide, ice rink, funfair rides and festive food and drink stalls. The Ice Festival will give families the chance to get into the festive mood from November 13 right up until January 5, so grab your skates and head off into a winter wonderland. From November 13 to December 18 opening hours are 11am - 9pm, but from December 19 they are 10am - 9pm.
15 nov - 24 dec	ONE’s Christmas Express	Chavasse Park, Liverpool	Also joining the festivities at Liverpool ONE this Christmas is the Polar Express-style train, the Christmas Express. Families can take a polar adventure on the specially-built train, making their way around Chavasse Park towards the North Pole - with pit stops for hot chocolate, postcard decorating and storytime, of course. The Christmas Express will run from November 15 right through until Christmas Eve.
15 nov - 23 dec	Liverpool Christmas Market	St George's Plateau, Liverpool	Liverpool Christmas Market returns to St George’s plateau this Christmas for another year of festive fun, bringing some much-loved stalls along with it. The festive markets will feature a range of food and drink stalls - including the ever popular Yorkshire Pudding Wrap stall - as well as vintage fairground rides, gifts and more. Liverpool Christmas Market runs from November 15 to December 23.

fri 2	LIVERPOOL SANTA DASH	Liverpool Waterfront	The world’s biggest festive fun run will start all over again at the Pier Head on Sunday 2 December- and thousands of Scouse Santas are expected to participate in this fabulous festive event which has taken place annually in the city since 1994 and is open to runners, joggers and walkers. There’s no better way to celebrate a Liverpool Christmas than running for charity!
sun 4	CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON JAZZ	Sefton Park Palm House	Sefton’s monthly jazz concert is set to get a festive makeover in December, as Liverpool-based Savoy Jazzmen evoke a carnival atmosphere in the park’s beautiful Palm House. Relax to a repertoire of heavily spiced classical and revivalist jazz for just £6.50 a ticket.

This candle-lit performance is set to be a special Christmassy evening with warm mulled wine and mince pies on offer to fill you up during an atmospheric performance
6 dec 2019 - 5 jan 2020	CINDERELLA (Panto)	The Epstein Theatre, Hanover House, 85 Hanover Street, Liverpool, Liverpool, L1 3DZ	Audiences are guaranteed to have a ball this Christmas as Epstein Entertainments bring the enchanting tale of Cinderella to the stage from Fri 6 Dec ’19 – Sun 5 Jan ‘20. Their debut Christmas panto at The Epstein Theatre promises to be a festive extravaganza with enchanted pumpkins, glass slippers, a sparkling fairy-tale carriage and a Fairy Godmother to make all your dreams come true. The greatest rags to riches panto of them all, Cinderella tells the story of a beautiful girl who is reduced to a life of servitude by her two ugly step-sisters. That is all set to change when an invitation to a grand ball at the palace arrives. With a bit of magic and some help from her friend Buttons, Cinderella is transformed in to the belle of the ball. But what will happen at the stroke of midnight?
