Double Fantasy - John & Yoko, at Museum of Liverpool from 18 May 2018 to 22 April 2019, is a free exhibition, celebrating the meeting of two of the world’s most creative artists who expressed their deep and powerful love for one another through their art, music and film. They used their fame and influence to campaign for peace and human rights across the world, transforming not only their own lives, but art, music and activism forever. Featuring personal objects alongside art, music and film produced by John and Yoko, the exhibition is drawn from Yoko’s own private collection, some of which has never been displayed. Homotopia is Liverpool’s internationally renowned homegrown queer arts festival. One of the key cultural highlights on the festival calendar which has included a major retrospective by David Hockney, appearances by film director John Waters and pop icon Boy George’s first photography exhibition and a groundbreaking exhibition on trans pioneer April Ashley. Every November it presents an annual festival of local, national and international LGB&T (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) arts & culture featuring an eclectic programme including theatrical world premieres, contemporary dance, visual art, debate, youth & community participation, heritage & film in venues such as The Philharmonic, FACT, Museum of Liverpool, Walker Art Gallery, Tate and Unity Theatre. Pages Of The Sea - 100 years since Armistice

This unique public commemorative event event runs from 9am to 12noon - Members of the public are encouraged to use public transport to travel to and from Formby on the day to avoid traffic queues and delays to their visit. The event will be focused around the Board Walk Path at Lifeboat Road. This is a 20 minute walk from Formby Station, via Kirklake Road or from Victoria Road car park via the Sefton Coastal Path. Lifeboat Road car park has the best access to the event, via the boardwalk and is most suitable for those with access needs, buggies or wheelchairs. BROKEN SYMMETRIES (Exhibition)

A new international exhibition premiering at FACT, Liverpool, Broken Symmetries, brings together artists who aim to understand and question the physical world by navigating the shifting realities of modern science. Broken Symmetries encompasses a wide-range of artistic approaches: reflecting the diverse ways in which scientists and artists are collaborating in both tackling and communicating some of the most elaborate concepts of modern physics. Broken Symmetries is co-produced by the ScANNER Network, consisting of: FACT (Liverpool), CCCB (Barcelona), Le Lieu Unique (Nantes), iMAL (Brussels) and Arts at CERN (Geneva). Premiering in the UK, the exhibition will then travel to the partner organisations in Spain, France and Belgium until 2020.
