This site is also
listed as the following domain names:-
southportreporter.co.uk
southport-reporter.co.uk
southport-reporter.com
All above URL's are pointed and recorded in stats
as:-
southportreporter.com
In 2009 the amount of
pages where less, due to less events being covered,
after the peek in 2008, with Capital Of Culture and
yet Southport Reporter has had a fantastic rise,
even with the lost data in 2007*,
the site has been very successful. Holding a
steady trend of more and more hits per year. |
|
As
you can see even with the modest drop of 4,307 pages
being visited in 2009 as compared with 2008, the hit
count shot up by 4661,323 hits! Our
predictions show that this steady growth is set to
continue over 2010 as the web gets easier to access
in the UK. |

Formby-Reporter.com |
 |
|
Formby Reporter was original set up to be an online
news and information site for Formby area, but due
to very low interest, we looked at redeveloping it.
Since it's re-launch in 2007, the site has been
growing quickly. Still in its development, the
site has been quickly getting interest from all over
and has had a rapid growth of hits.
The
news now works as a news flash service for
Merseyside. It delivers news bulletins
on a subscribe service feature, that is sent to
users on a regular bases mainly via email, but
news is also sent out in other application formats
and systems. |
|
As
you can see in these results, slow pickup to the URL
changed rapidly since 2007. 2009, as the
full Beta test came online has shown amazing growth
potential. |

LiverpoolReporter.com |
 |
|
Liverpool Reporter is our wild card. The site
started off just as an experiment and as an addition
to back up service for both main sites, Mersey
Reporter and Southport Reporter, holding audio and
video reports. The aim was also to help
promote local music and play some of the music we
had reviewed on our news features. The over aim was
to eventually develop an online radio service.
The site took time to develop as internet speeds in
the UK where slow to pick up in speed, but with the
development of faster broadband connections and on
the back Capital Of Culture, gaining huge
interest in Liverpool's music, the site has quickly
developed. |
|
Significant changes can be seen in access over 2007
and 2010. Over 2007, the site was undergoing
major changes and development. That overhaul
resulted in the drop of pages accessed, but large
clime in 2008.
Please note that as we do not carry advert
information we have not published streaming figures
for this site. |

Southport TV is our latest website to the group.
unlike the others, we have dropped the Reporter tag.
The site is our new video archive and since we
started the site, the interest has been picking up
steadily. This site is in its early stages of
development and it is hard to assess any trends at
this point. We have noticed though an that
interest in the site has been quicker than
originally anticipated. |

MerseyrRporter.com |
 |
|
Mersey Reporter is our main hub page, but as the
other sites have got better known and listed on
search engines like
Google and
Yahoo.com
the site has had less traffic. Also some
of the main features have been moved to the
satellite URL's. This is not as bad as it
looks though. The hit count, as you can see
claimed back in 2006 and since dropped with pages
accessed again staying steady. Over 2010
these figures should again increases, as we place
new features and systems on the site. This new
development will include an improved historic
listings system, a section that has proved very
popular. We will also be adding more business
support features. |
|
The
only site to have a steady loss in its figures.
But can easily be explained and addressed.
This is planned and was predicted as we develop
Mersey Reporter as the hub site, with a more
business and information focus. |

Please note that streaming
media, via our Real Helix system is not included in this
list. Also sadly due to national
flooding through out the UK in 2007, and a national security alert in the UK,
has resulted in
the total collapse of our primary system and the primary back up systems.
Despite the best efforts of our selves and fellow colleges to keep the system
running, the inevitable happened. Just like thousands of other
businesses in the UK, the events of 2007 over took us. As a direct result,
for us, a massive system failure accrued. The outcome of this system failure has
been the total loss of a large amounts of our statistic data. We can conform
thought that for a very short time the site was offline on several occasions, as repairs
took place. Ever since 2000, we have never had an event like this, so over
2007, we have added new safety measures to hopefully avoid any repeat ever
happening. These statistics are produced from a secondary,
monitoring system that was not set up at the time for the data to be use
on this section.
We are still attempting to retrieve the lost data to bring you a
far more accurate reading for 2007.
To date all attempts have still failed.
