OUR
advertising system, like our banner editing system enables you to create a customized
both the banner which
is displayed randomly in the header of most main pages of:-
- southportreporter.com
- liverpoolreporter.com
- merseyreporter.com
And also your advert page, that
is displayed on Mersey Reporter!
This display is the same as the
banner avert editing page, but has an extra section on it.

The Basic
Self Editable Advert Control
|
All maintenance of your advertisement is done through our client
control panel, which gives you instant access to all relevant
information. Access to the control panel is done via the link
Client admin.
This link is located within the top header of Mersey Reporter, Southport
Reporter and Liverpool Reporter. |

We present the information in a clear yet condensed format, which we explain in the following overview.

After editing, once your changes have been approved,
it will go live on your advert page, on Mersey
Reporter.
You do not need to know HTML to
create a page using this system. The edit
section will convert the text you type into the editor, into html for
you.
This advert
advert system can also let you add basic HTML, Flash and
Java as well. This will let you add extra
images, like on this example advert.
Here two extra images
have been added, in the forms of a bird and a
copy of the banner advert.
Also the use of <b> and </b> to make words
in bold and URL link codes embedded.
See useful HTML below to get some tricks.
Later in
2008 our Self Edit-Plus option will be added, that will
have more options and will insert basic HTML
automatically for you.
If you
take out the basic advert now and would like to upgrade
when our new system comes out, we can upgrade your
advert plan. |

HOW TO EDIT THE PAGE
To edit your advert page you have to press on the
"Edit Avert Details"
button, that is located below the preview advert display.
Please not that if you enter HTML, the HTML
might show up
as HTML in the preview, not the formatted page you see
on the general public advert section with this editing
system. |

Photographic Uploading
To upload
an image, the image must be saved in .jpg or .gif
format.
The
uploading of your for images can be done easily by
clicking on the edit button in each photo section.
| Next
click on browse icon. Select the image you
require and then press change.
The image will then
upload. This might take a few minuets on
slow connection speeds or with large files.
The image will be resized automatically and the
added to your photo place holder. |

Text Uploading
 |
Press edit on the
preview section above photo 3.
This then takes you through
to the text edit section. Here you can add
your text by cutting and pasting into the edit section.
When finished editing, press change button and your text
/ and/or code will be added.
Again, like with the photo
uploading, when adding text and code to this section,
check the terms and conditions section first.

USEFUL
HTML TAGS
To get
Bold TEXT, type in <b> before the text you want in
bold and then </b> at the end of the text.
To make a
link use this text:-
<a href="enter the webpage address here">
enter your text here</a> |
To create text lines use <p> at the start
of the text and at the end.</p> |

What is
HTML?
HTML is a
basic web language known as
HyperText Mark up Language. This mark up
language is designed for the creation of web pages with
hypertext and other information to be displayed in a
web. Hypertext is the code that allows text
to be made into a link.
