OUR
advertising system, like our standard advert
page editing system enables you to create a customized banner which
is displayed randomly in the header of most main pages of:-
- southportreporter.com
- liverpoolreporter.com
- merseyreporter.com
Simply upload an
image with dimensions of 468x60 pixels using our client login system.
The image will then be screened to ensure it does not violate any of
our content policies, designed to keep our site unbiased and family
friendly.
Once screened your image will start showing on the banner
straight away. The advert banner is the
displayed below the site header as you can see above. Also the
edit section will let you change your Business Search Keywords and
Advert Categories. |

The Advert
Banner Control Panel

All maintenance of your advertisement is done through our client
control panel, which gives you instant access to all relevant
information. Access to the control panel is done via the link
Client admin.
This link is located within the top header of Mersey Reporter, Southport
Reporter and Liverpool Reporter. |

We present the information in a clear yet condensed format, which we explain in the following overview.

Created/Reenabled/Expires
These dates show the status of your advert subscription. When you initially sign up, the
"Created" date is set to the current date, and the
"expiry"
date is set to a date six months from then. |
 |
When the
advert display time period
expires, your advertisement will be disabled and no longer shown on the
websites or in the business index. You must subscribe for another 12
months for your advert to be shown, in which case the
"re-enabled"
date will be set to the date on receipt of payment. You can also
re-subscribe in advance, in which case the re-enabled date will be set
to the start of the new subscription period and the expiry date will be
moved forward six months.

Advert Statistics
This section shows the amount of advertising traffic your banner image has
received. Shows
is the number of times that your banner has been shown, for example on
the headers of our sites, but also in any of the other places they can
be shown. Clicks is the number of times a person has clicked on your banner. |

Banner Image
This displays your current banner image. Showing it to you in the
control panel does not count as a show on the statistics. This image
must be 468x60 pixels in size. You can upload your own, but we also
offer the service of creating one for you. |
Your image must be be saved .gif
or .jpg format to be displayed on our random avert display
system. |

Banner Link Location
This is the web address to which your banner links when people click on
it. If you subscribe to a full page on our business index or a complete
site which we host, then this will be set to that location. However if
you maintain your own site, you can update this to link to the location
you feel most appropriate. |

Contact Details
This section enables you to specify your contact information and keep
it up to date on our system.
We support addresses, phone/mobile/fax
numbers, email address as well as skype id.
More online methods of
contact can be included on demand. |

Business Index Search Engine Keywords |
 |
Keywords let your advert reach those people specifically searching for
services you offer. When people enter keywords in a search, our
business index search engine will display to them all banners which
have matching keywords. |
|
Business Index Categories |
 |
This section lets you specify in which categories of our business index
on Mersey Reporter, that your advert banner will be
displayed in. More categories can be added, so if you want
a new categories, let us know and if it does not clash with one
that already exists, or if it makes searching quicker, we will
add it for you. On this section you can pick
up to four categorises and you do not need to pick four, you can
opt to pick just one, two or three... |
